Protecting Critical Infrastructure from Corrosion with Proven Expertise

We are a full-service nationwide cathodic protection service provider. We provide solutions for refineries, marine facilities, pipelines, power plants, nuclear facilities, well casings, chemical plants, aboveground storage tanks and many other applications. In other words, if your asset is metal, we can protect it! When it comes to either sacrificial/galvanic CP systems or impressed current CP systems, we’ve got the experience and know-how to take your project all the way.

We own our equipment, including our drilling rigs, which makes a difference when you’re choosing providers. Our in-house fleet allows us to control our schedule and prioritize your project. Let us use our resources to help you design a system that protects your asset while minimizing your headaches.

Some of Our Cathodic Protection Specialties Include:

  • Deep Groundbeds: a deep groundbed is normally installed around one hundred to five hundred feet deep, and between eight to twelve inches in diameter, requiring only a small area for installation. We offer both mud rotary and air drilling options, depending on ground conditions.

  • Conventional Groundbeds: a conventional groundbed system typically consists of multiple anodes (5-30) installed at ten to twenty feet in depth, spread out horizontally over an area perpendicular to the structure. This requires more ROW space compared to a deep groundbed.

  • Linear Groundbeds: linear groundbeds are typically installed parallel to the structure they are intended to protect. These groundbeds are often installed by trenching, plowing, excavating, or horizontal directional drilling.

  • Upstream CP Solutions: our integrated designs consider the unique operational considerations of your E&P environment, including electrical isolation, test station placement, and challenging pressure vessel and storage tank applications. We can also help protect your pump and compressor stations by addressing electrical grounding issues with a comprehensive CP package. Our design professionals will help you gather information about your asset, evaluate electrolyte composition, calculate theoretical current requirements, select an appropriate CP system (impressed current or galvanic), select your anode material, and determine an installation method. Applications for upstream CP engineering include:

    • Well casings (production and storage). For over twenty years, we have helped our partners protect their wells using cathodic protection. Click here for our leading case study of well casing failures in Midland County, Texas.

    • Production surface equipment, including free water knock-outs, heater treaters, break-out tanks, and storage tanks

    • Pump Stations

    • Compressor Stations

  • Above Ground Storage Tank CP Systems: undertank CP systems for ASTs can be designed to work for your specific tank and may include concentric rings or a trenched installation. We also have corrosion inhibitor solutions for your undertank installation.

  • CP Test Station Installation: CP test stations should be installed to monitor the effectiveness of cathodic protection on your assets. Whether your test station installation requires mechanical excavation or vacuum excavation, we will make the connections and install the wiring, reference electrodes, and coupons to meet the design requirements. One of our specialties is keyhole test station installation using high pressure air and vacuum excavation technology, which limits ground disturbance and expedites installation. We know how important it is to maintain soil stability, follow regulations, and work carefully around sensitive equipment.
